Chery boosts exports

CHERY Automobile Co made a good start in 2012 with vehicle exports in January up 21 percent year on year to 11,823 units. The rally also presented an 25 percent increase from December. Chery said it is improving its export structure as sales of high-end Tiggo sport utility vehicles accounting for 44 percent of the total. The carmaker achieved record exports of 160,200 units in 2011.
