China boost
HONDA and Nissan yesterday posted record production in China for October, the latest sign Japanese auto makers are getting a boost from emerging markets.
Tokyo-based Honda Motor Co said it produced 87,770 vehicles last month, a record for the month and up 2 percent from last year. Of those, 55,507 vehicles were produced in China, also a record and up 4.4 percent from last year.
Nissan Motor Co also marked a record for China, producing 84,686 vehicles, a rise of 17 percent.
