Dongfeng Motor Co Steering problems spark recall

DONGFENG Motor Co is to recall more than 50,000 vehicles produced by its venture with Nissan Motor Corp because of steering problems.
The models include 14,168 X-Trails sport utility vehicles produced between March 31, 2008 and August 26 this year and 33,667 Qashqai vehicles produced between February 18, 2008 and May 22, 2009.
Dongfeng said franchised dealers would inform customers of the recall through the mail or by phone.
