Eaton valve plant to double output next year

US-BASED diversified industrial manufacturer, Eaton, plans to double the output of its valve plant in Shandong Province to meet the growing demand of Chinese auto makers.
The new facility of Eaton's plant in Jining City will be operational next March. Its valves and other devices will be used on passenger cars, vans and trucks, Eaton, which provides energy-efficient solutions, said at the Shanghai auto show yesterday.
China is the world's largest auto market. The China Association of Automobile Manufacturers forecast a 7 percent rise in vehicle sales this year.
Ken Davis, president of Eaton's vehicle group, said the expansion project is part of its effort to make products for the region, within the region.
