GM Offers Dealers US$7,000 A Vehicle
GENERAL Motors is offering huge incentives to dealers to speed up sales of its Saturn and Pontiac brands to boost the maker's December sales, according to the Wall Street Journal.
General Motors is to pay US$7,000 for every new Saturn or Pontiac moved to rental-vehicle or service-vehicle fleets, the paper said.
This would enable the vehicles to be classified as used cars since the dealers would be their first owner, which would then enable them to sell at a steep discount.
