GENERAL Motors Co boosted first-half vehicle sales in China by 11 percent to a record, led by demand for the Buick brand and Wuling minivans.

Deliveries of cars and minivans climbed to 1.42 million units in the first six months, according to a statement posted on the automaker's website yesterday.

June deliveries gained 10 percent to 213,495 units, the company said.
