Honda recalls SUVs
HONDA Motor is recalling 50,410 compact sport-utility vehicles in China to fix defective wiring in the headlights, the country's quality watchdog said.
The affected CR-V models were produced between September 5 and November 23 last year, the General Administration of Quality Supervision, Inspection and Quarantine said in a statement on its website yesterday.
The CR-V models made by its Dongfeng Honda Automobile joint venture have substandard heat resistant wiring that could turn the vehicle's headlights off under extreme conditions.
Dongfeng Honda will replace the faulty headlights on the affected cars free of charge, the statement said.
