Listing prequel
BEIJING Automotive Industry Holding Co will establish a new company next week to pave the way for its listing plan, The Beijing Times reported yesterday.
In May, Wang Dazong, president of Beijing Auto, said the car maker will mainly inject its passenger car assets, which involves joint ventures with Daimler AG's Mercedes-Benz unit and Hyundai Motors Co as well as its self-branded passenger cars, into the new company.
The car maker has also appointed Dong Haiyang as the deputy general manger in charge of marketing. Dong has worked with FAW Toyota as well as being general manger of overseas business at Beiqi Foton, a light commercial vehicle unit of Beijing Auto.
