New Audi China chief to start Q4

Thomas Owsianski has been appointed president of Audi China from the fourth quarter, the German luxury carmaker said yesterday. He has also joined the top management team.
Audi said on its website that Owsianski is an acknowledged sales expert and well acquainted with China. He was executive vice president responsible for the Volkswagen brand in South America from 2016 to 2018.
From 2014 to 2016, Owsianski was executive director at SAIC Volkswagen Automotive Co Ltd, with responsibility for sales and marketing for the Skoda brand.
He will replace Joachim Wedler, who is retiring.
