AUTOMOTIVE air conditioner and engine cooling system producer Behr GmbH has opened a new plant in Jinan in Shandong Province to strengthen its truck business in China.
The wholly owned Behr Jinan Co has 145 employees and an annual capacity of 150,000 sets. It supplies engine cooling modules, air conditioner parts and compressors to China's truck maker Sinotruk.
Company official also said Behr has also started research on battery cooling systems for hybrid cars and would expand cooperation with car makers in electric cars and hybrids.
