Still keen on Saab
ZHEJIANG Youngman Lotus Automobile Co, the Chinese carmaker that was in talks to buy Saab Automobile before the Swedish company's bankruptcy, yesterday said it's in discussions about Saab.
Youngman is exchanging information and discussions are occurring in China and in Europe, said Pang Caiping, head of the Saab task force at the Chinese company. She declined to comment further on details of the talks regarding Saab, which filed for bankruptcy on December 19.
The Chinese carmaker may make a revised offer for Saab next week, Reuters reported this week, citing unidentified people familiar with the matter.
