THE newly designed head lamps and tail lights are characterized by a pronounced arrow shape of the radiator grille along with an LED lighting package.
The model features the world's first SPLITVIEW technology, which allows the driver and front passenger to view different scenes simultaneously on one screen, increasing driving safety.
The Direct-Steer system retains speed-sensitive steering and adds a variable steering ratio depending on the angle and vehicle speed. The driving agility and active handling safety also come with a new Torque Vectoring Brake system to improve inside rear wheel control and an Adaptive Damping System, along with the Airmatic system, working together to regulate shock-absorber abilities.
Safety features are further guaranteed with the PRE SAFE systems including the Adaptive Highbeam Assist that recognizes oncoming vehicles, and continuously controls the head lamps to ensure the best beam range without dazzling other road users. Attention Assist automatically sends an alert when it senses driver drowsiness.
The S400 Hybrid makes its world debut as the champion of low CO2 emissions and fuel consumption for a luxury saloon.
