Chery exports jump 84% to all-time high

Chery Automobile Co said exports for August increased 84 percent year on year, hitting an all-time high of 19,017 units.
A total of 107,851 vehicles were sold overseas during the first eight months of this year, an increase of 88 percent from a year earlier. The Chinese independent auto maker said it is confident of surpassing its full-year target for exports.
The sport-utility vehicle Tiggo accounted for 40 percent of Chery's exports last month. The car maker said models with a higher price range and advanced technologies, including the A1 and A3 sedans, contributed 70 percent to total exports.
