Dongfeng revenue rises

DONGFENG Motor Corp said sales revenue for the first half of this year rose 3 percent to 63.7 billion yuan (US$9.96 billion) with a net profit of 5.9 billion yuan.
The Chinese partner of Honda, Nissan and Peugeot Citroen, said it posted steady growth in the first half despite a slow down in the overall automotive industry. Total sales of Dongfeng Group increased 9.5 percent year on year to 1.06 million units from January to June, helping it boost market share to 11.4 percent.
The car maker earlier said it expects to sell 2.16 million vehicles this year.
