Light vehicle booms
CHINA will continue to take the driver's seat of the world's light vehicle production in the next four years though it may let off the throttle a little, PricewaterhouseCoopers said in a latest report.
The company expects China's light vehicle assembly volume to increase from 15.4 million units last year to 24.7 million units in 2016 at a compound average growth rate of 9.9 percent during the time. That compared with the 24.9 percent annual growth in the previous decade.
It expects global average growth of light vehicle production to be 6 percent each year through 2016.
