New VP for GM

GENERAL Motors appointed Rajeev Chaba as its vice president for GM China and its Chinese venture Shanghai GM from July 1.

Chaba is in charge of the development of the joint venture's sales and aftersales strategy across China along with his fellow Shanghai GM vice president, Cai Bin.

Chaba, who most recently served as managing director, GM North Africa and GM Egypt, has rich experience of sales, marketing and aftersales and played a key role in GM's growth in India, Egypt and Japan since joining the company in 1995.

The native of India has a Bachelor of Engineering degree from MMM Engineering College in Gorakhpur, India, and a master's degree in business administration from the Indian Institute of Management in Bangalore.
