FORD has added a new Fiesta Sport+ hatchback, matched with a 1.5-liter engine and automatic transmission, to the 2011 Ford Fiesta line. The new Fiesta Sport+ hatchback has refreshed exterior designs, including a re-designed 16-inch aluminum alloy wheel hub and front and rear bumper. The notchback model, named Fengchao in Chinese, provides customers options with two new colors. The 2011 Fiesta's safety is enhanced by new features including six airbags, an anti-braking system, rear parking sensor and the double curvature outer mirror offering strong protection for passengers. French car maker Renault is targeting China's compact mid-class sedan segment with its Fluence. The imported model is equipped with a 2.0-liter 16V engine and CVT transmission that was developed by a Renault-Nissan alliance. Measuring 4.62-meters long, 1.81-meters wide and 1.48-meters tall, the model has a 2.7-meter wheelbase that could be transformed to more generous legroom up front and at the back than other cars in the same segment.Sporty Chevrolet
The new Chevrolet Aveo from Shanghai GM features a bold and sporty design. The 1.4-liter S-TEC III engine generates a maximum power of 76kW/6,000rpm and the 1.6-liter Ecotec DVVT engine provides maximum power of 89kW/6,000rpm. The new Chevrolet Aveo strengthens its driving performance by using the five-speed or six-speed transmission to go with the engines in addition to a sporty chassis and improved suspension. GM's OnStar in-vehicle safety, security and communication system is being offered in the small car segment for the first time.A smoother drive
The new Tiida from Dongfeng Nissan has two product series powered by the HR 16DE engine or MR16 dig turbo engine to strengthen driving dynamics. The MR16 dig turbo engine, which has a maximum power of 140kW under the maximum torque of 240Nm, improves acceleration with Nissan's CVTC technology and fuel direct injection system. Together with the six-speed manual transmission and a new drive line system, the new Tiida is able to get better fuel economy and a smoother driving experience.
