SVW boosts sales
SHANGHAI Volkswagen saw its April sales jump 13.6 percent from a year earlier to 83,381 units.
As the first self-developed A-class sedan launched by the joint venture, VW Lavida kept its robust performance, reporting sales of 19,016 units last month and a total number of 750,000 units sold since its launch less than four years ago.
In the B-class segment, the popular New Passat recorded sales of 16,982 units in April. High-end SUV Tiguan chalked up sales of 12,103 units, up 20 percent from a year earlier while sales of the new Touran strengthened 17 percent in the MPV market.
