Skoda banks on China
CZECH carmaker Skoda Auto sold 324,100 vehicles in the first four months of this year, up 9.8 percent from a year earlier. China has become Skoda's biggest market in the world, with sales accounting for 25 percent of its total deliveries.
The company has sold about 700,000 vehicles in China in the past five years. China will contribute significantly to Skoda's goal of selling at least 1.5 million cars per year by 2018, according to Skoda China President Gerrit A. Marx.
