GERMANY-BASED chemical company BASF opened its regional design center in the Pudong New Area yesterday that will integrate materials development and product innovation.
The Designfabrik center serves Asian markets and covers sectors such as automobile, personal care, architecture and public consumption goods. The center is located at BASF’s innovation campus in Shanghai, which also houses the company’s research and development center so that designers and researchers can cooperate in product development. The design center is set to provide more possibilities for innovation solutions.
