Bailian beefs up eco-system
BAILIAN Group, a state-owned retail giant in Shanghai, yesterday launched its new integrated website BL.com, mobile application and WeChat accounts to boost online and offline sales.
The upgraded services, part of its Internet Plus strategy, include a unified e-commerce website, Wi-Fi covering offline stores and fresh food delivery by cooperating with JD.com, one of China’s biggest online retailers with a national logistics network.
“With Internet and latest technologies, Bailian offers a new eco-system covering products, supply chain, logistics and online services,” said Ye Yongming, Bailian’s president and chairman.
Other state-owned firms like Shanghai Media Group and SAIC Group are also embracing Internet Plus.
