Funding not to be taken lightly

OPPLE Lighting Co will receive a 10-million-euro investment (US$11 million) from Dutch research and development company Seaborough to develop and manufacture electricity-saving LED tubes, the two partners said yesterday.

The LED tubes they manufacture will be compatible universally, have a life span of eight years and save as much as 50 percent of electricity. OPPLE seeks to use the investment and collaboration with Seaborough to further fuel its global expansion as it operates in more than 50 countries and regions.
