JAPAN'S JS Group, the parent of American Standard, INAX and Tostem, expects sales in China to nearly triple to 11.4 billion yen (US$135 million) from a year earlier in the year ending at the end of March.
The company, which provides building materials, housing facilities and retailing business, will consolidate its business in China by the first quarter of next year to lift efficiency in its expansion in the country.
In addition to focus on extending its footprint to inland cities, JS Group said it has agreed with China's home appliance giant Haier to set up joint ventures to supply the refurbishment of properties.
Its 2.6 billion yuan (US$39.02 million) new plant will also start production in Shenyang, Liaoning Province, in 2012 to grab opportunities provided by the National Sports Meeting held there in 2013.
