Japan exhibitor brings gift show to Shanghai

The organizer of the world's biggest gift show announced that it will hold an independent fair in Shanghai starting this year to better explore the market potential of a country famous for the tradition of sending gifts.
Business Guide-Sha Inc, organizer of the Tokyo International Gift Show, said it has decided to host Gift Show in Shanghai, or 2013 Japan Lifestyle Goods and Home Accessories Fair, in the city.
It’s the first time for the company, which used to cooperate with others or participate in comprehensive exhibitions in China, to organize an independent fair in the mainland.
"It will better serve our purpose of introducing good Japanese gifts and products to China, where people spend more than 10 percent of their income purchasing gifts," the company said.
The Gift Show in Shanghai is scheduled to be held in Intex Shanghai from December 10 to December 12.
