CHINA plans a multi-language national tourism management platform, 12301, for users to rate site and infrastructure facilities and check service regulation information, Shanghai Daily learned yesterday.
The 12301 platform, authorized by the China National Tourism Administration, will officially start operation nationwide by year end, using cloud computing and Big Data, Tan Lin, the system’s chief technology officer, said during the Think in Cloud 2015 conference in Shanghai.
The platform, which will cover more than 200 of China’s top 5A tourism attractions, includes a national hotline 12301, websites for public information, industry regulations, ticket buying and multi-language introductions and marketing.
The platform supports 100 million users visiting and using at the same time, according to technology partner UCloud, a Shanghai-based cloud service provider.
In the future, the 12301 platform will unveil new features like site and travel agency rating system and using data analysis to control tourism traffic. People will be warned to avoid visiting overcrowded tourism sites during the peak holiday season.
The platform shows the tourism sector integrating with the Internet by adapting latest technologies such as cloud computing and Big Data, Tan said at the conference.
