PREFERRED Hotels & Resorts, headquartered in Chicago, Illinois, eyes one of its three new Asian properties to open in Chengdu, capital of Sichuan Province. The Temple House is expected to serve travelers in the second half of this year. The company will expand its business in northeast and west China. “By 2018, we will have 40 hotels in China and more than 1,000 globally,” Anthony Ross, executive vice president of the hotelier’s Asia-Pacific operation, said yesterday.
