New logo spurs Little Sheep expansion
The Little Sheep hotpot chain, which became a unit of Yum! Brands Inc last year, will continue to expand rapidly across the country after receiving positive feedback on its latest brand upgrading.
By the end of this year, at least 10 new Little Sheep restaurants featuring new logo, decoration, management and service culture will open in cities nationwide including Beijing, Shanghai, Tianjin, Xiamen, Nanjing, Wuhan, Qingdao and Zhengzhou, said Sam Su, chairman and CEO of Yum! Restaurants China and vice chairman of Yum! Brands.
“From day one, Little Sheep aims to become a top hotpot brand in China and this target remains unchanged after our takeover,” said Su as he attended the official unveiling of the brand’s new logo held yesterday in Fuzhou, Fujian Province.
“We have leveraged our global expertise in providing standardized and high-quality products and services in the brand’s overall upgrading project which we believe will further facilitate the brand’s future growth.”
The firm plans to unveil in phases a massive upgrading program for existing Little Sheep restaurants nationwide while it will also open new outlets, both directly owned and franchised, said Xi Ziying, general manager of the Little Sheep brand.
