PANASONIC Corp's venture in China started to recall 365,574 refrigerators on the Chinese mainland yesterday after faulty temperature control occurred, the General Administration of Quality Supervision, Inspection and Quarantine said today.

The recall involves 29 models of Panasonic refrigerators. Models B20, B26, C23 and C29 series showing faulty temperature control were manufactured between March 2007 and March 2009, the quality watchdog said in a statement on its website.

Panasonic said it will provide free checks and repairs starting today. Consumers can call its customers service hotline. It will send maintenance staff to serve customers at their home.
