Pepsi extends contract with Tingyi Holding
PEPSI Co announced yesterday to extend cooperation with Chinese fast-food chain Dicos for two more years as part of the drink maker's efforts to tap the inland market and tie with a domestic beverage player.
Pepsi said Dicos, a brand of China's leading beverage company Tingyi Holding Corp, holds a large market share in China's smaller cities and will help boost Pepsi's revenue.
The extension was made at the end of their five-year contract, and Pepsi will pursue closer relationship with Tingyi after Pepsi swapped its bottling operations in China for a stake in Tingyi's beverage business in March this year, the company's executive said yesterday.
