Shanghai Disney seals exclusive deals

Shanghai Disney Resort yesterday signed an agreement with PepsiCo Inc and Tingyi Holding Corp to make them the exclusive beverage suppliers to the resort.
The resort, located in the Pudong New Area, will only provide PepsiCo and Master Kong soft drinks to visitors, according to the agreement.
The resort will also look to leverage PepsiCo’s Asia research and development center in Shanghai to develop unique menu items through culinary innovation, an official with the resort said yesterday.
The partners will also develop co-marketing campaigns to enhance awareness of their products and help promote the resort, Disney’s first on China’s mainland.
“We will support this alliance with the full power of our product portfolio, our marketing capabilities, and our innovation and design teams,” said Parinya Kitjatanapan, president of PepsiCo China.
Ko Yuan-Ta, chief executive officer of Tingyi Holding’s beverage subsidiary, said at the signing ceremony that the company’s goal is “all guests visiting Shanghai Disney Resort will enjoy high-quality beverages.”
