Shanghai wins state nod to build Disneyland

SHANGHAI has won the approval from China's central government to build a Disney park in the city's Pudong New Area, the local government said today.
The nod was given in late October, the local government's information office said in a statement issued in the morning.
The Shanghai government is now in discussions with Walt Disney about detailed plans to set up the park, according to the statement.
