Shui aims revenue rise from clean water
SHUI.CN, a Beijing-based water purifying service provider, aims to increase its revenue by fourfolds from this year to 1.2 billion yuan (US$182 million) by 2019 as it taps Chinese consumer demand for a healthy and better lifestyle.
The company also seeks the booming rural and business markets and adopt new technologies like O2O (online-to-offline) services and data analysis to meet the target, said Zhou Suhua, chief executive of Shui.
China’s water purifying market, including device, service and filter replacement, is expected to hit 29.3 billion yuan this year, up 30 percent year on year, said research firm China Market Monitor Co.
The market is likely to reach about 100 billion yuan annually in the future as companies tap the booming demand and rising income of consumers, analysts said.
Shui is set to generate revenue of 300 million yuan this year and rising to 1.2 billion by 2019, said Zhou.
“Quality air and water are needed by all families, with demand such as (clean) water for tea and baby’s milk powder,” Zhou said, adding that the firm will start its first round of financing this year.
