Suning booms
SUNING Appliance Co has reported its 2010 earnings jumped nearly 39 percent from 2009 due to China's stable economic growth and government's measures to boost consumption.
Its net income rose 38.8 percent from a year earlier to 4 billion yuan. Its revenue grew nearly 30 percent to 75.5 billion yuan.
It opened 408 new stores on the mainland last year, bringing the total to 1,311. It also operated 23 outlets in Hong Kong and eight Laox-branded stores in Japan by the end of 2010.
China's retail sales of consumer goods grew 18.4 percent in 2010 from a year earlier, the National Bureau of Statistics said.
