World Tourism To Recover On Chinese Efforts
A senior official with the United Nations World Tourism Organization said China would contribute to global tourism recovery in 2010 at the opening ceremony of the 2010 Boao International Tourism Forum in Sanya on Saturday.
Taleb Rifai, secretary general of the organization, said global tourism experienced the most difficult year in 2009 when revenue dropped 4 percent.
The tourism body forecast global revenue in 2010 to grow by 2 to 3 percent and China would contribute a lot to the increase, he said.
The forum held in Sanya attracted about 2,000 global tourism officials to discuss boosting tourism.
