Auction of bonds worth US$6.6b
THE Ministry of Finance yesterday said it will issue 41.6 billion yuan (US$6.6 billion) in bonds on behalf of some local governments.
In a fifth issuance plan this year, the ministry said it will auction 20.6 billion yuan of three-year local government bonds next Friday for the governments of Tibet, Dalian, Guizhou, Hebei, Inner Mongolia, Liaoning and Jilin. It will auction another 21 billion yuan of five-year bonds for these regions on the same day. The ministry is set to auction a total 250 billion yuan in local government bonds this year.
