Case based on countries' strong complementarity
WEI Jianguo, head of the China Center for International Economic Exchanges, said the case for a China, Japan and South Korea free trade area was based on strong complementarity.
"Samsung is a typical example of those Japanese and South Korean companies that invest in China, and sell their products in the local markets," Wei said. "During the past seven years, academic researchers from the three nations concluded that trilateral cooperation in the region is not only required for political needs, but more importantly for the economy and trade."
