China consumer confidence rebounds in October

CONSUMER sentiment in China lifted in October due to stronger economic data and hopes for government action to bolster the economy following the 18th Communist Party Congress that starts next week, an industrial report showed.
The monthly index that measures consumer confidence in China rose to 92.3 in October from 89.3 in September, a rebound for the first time since June, Market News International, a unit of Deutsche Boerse Group, said today.
Gains were led by stronger views on personal finances and the economic outlook.
Both current conditions and future expectation indicators improved in October.
