China eyes accurate valuation of outlook
CHINA yesterday called for a more "comprehensive, solid and accurate" assessment of its economic outlook after a report by credit ratings agency Fitch.
"Among the global economies, it can be widely seen that China's economy performs well," Foreign Ministry spokesperson Hua Chunying said at a daily briefing.
In the first half of the year, China attracted the most foreign investment in the world, and recent reports from some international banks, companies and think tanks held that global investors are optimistic about the country's economy, Hua noted.
Media reported that Fitch Ratings said in a report that stable outlook dominated emerging Asian sovereign ratings, with the exception of China and India.
Hua said the meeting of the central economic work conference, which ended on Sunday, set the tone for economic policies next year and the development of China's economic fundamentals will be sound in the long term.
