China reports trade surplus of US$18.4 billion in April

CHINA posted a trade surplus of US$18.4 billion in April, the General Administration of Customs said today. That compared with a surplus of US$5.4 billion a month earlier. Exports increased 4.9 percent from a year earlier, while imports climbed 0.3 percent.
