China's Q1 GDP growth slows to 8.1 pct

CHINA'S gross domestic product expanded 8.1 percent from a year earlier to 10.79 trillion yuan (US$1.71 trillion) in the first quarter, the slowest pace since the second quarter of 2009.
The growth rate weakened more than expected as market watchers had forecast a pace of about 8.5 percent.
