Exports Weaken

HONG Kong's merchandise exports weakened in November with the total exports of goods posting a year-on-year rise of 2 percent, according to figures released by the Census and Statistics Department yesterday.

The data showed that in November, the value of goods exported inreased to HK$278.6 billion (US$25.86 billion), down from an annual gain of 11.5 percent in October.

Within this total, the value of re-exports rose 2.5 percent to HK$273.4 billion.
