Forecast Of 4% Inflation This Year
CHINA'S consumer price index is likely to rise to 4 percent for 2011 from 3.3 percent last year, according to a report released by Daiwa Capital Markets yesterday.
Daiwa, a wholly owned investment banking arm of Daiwa Securities Group, one of Japan's three biggest security firms, also forecast that China's gross domestic product growth would drop to 9.6 percent, weaker than 2010's 10.2 percent.
