Fourth For Confidence
THE Chinese mainland was ranked fourth on a list of places with the most confident consumers in Asia, an industry survey showed yesterday.
After interviewing more than 23,000 respondents across 28 markets, global research firm Synovate said consumers in the Chinese mainland are within the top groups in Asia who are optimistic about their economies and what lies ahead.
Globally, the Chinese mainland comes after Brazil, Sweden and Colombia. India, another big emerging market, ranked No. 9 on the list.
By contrast, American consumers were the ninth least confident, according to the survey.
