Free trade talks
COSTA Rica and China began the first round of negotiations for the Free Trade Agreement on Monday, the Costa Rican Foreign Ministry said.
The two sides expect to set a "road map" for free trade talks in the first round of negotiations, including a layout for the agreement and steps to be taken for its realization. Six rounds of talks will be held and Costa Rica hopes all the negotiations will be ended by May 2010.
