GDP gains 9.4% in first three quarters
CHINA'S gross domestic product totaled 32.0692 trillion yuan (US$5.03 trillion) in the first three quarters this year, up 9.4 percent from the same period last year, the National Bureau of Statistics said today.
Its GDP increased an annual 9.1 percent in the third quarter, a dip from the 9.5 percent growth in the second quarter and 9.7 percent in the first quarter.
The Consumer Price Index, a major gauge of inflation, jumped 5.7 percent year on year in the first three quarters.
