MNI index shows China business shrinking in August

BUSINESS conditions in China worsened in August with key indexes pointing to further contraction, said Market News International, a unit of Deutsche Boerse Group.
MNI released a flash China Business Sentiment Index today, which showed the country's overall conditions index falling from 49.73 in July to 46.76 in August, while the new orders index dropped from 52.32 to 46.57, MNI said in a newsletter.
