Measures to help stabilize trade
CHINA yesterday announced a series of new measures aimed at stabilizing trade through collecting less in administrative fees, deepening reform of paperless and categorized clearance, as well as providing better services.
The 16 measures include scrapping fees for Customs' supervision, the acceleration of paperless clearance and improving the hotline 12360.
Yu Guangzhou, chief of the General Administrative of Customs, said a survey of traders helped them better understand their difficulties before releasing the measures.
However, some analysts said it does not address the core problems - weak external demand and tight credit.
Earlier this month, China said it would return export tax rebates faster, grant more loans to exporters and expand export credit insurance coverage to small firms.
