Rural grows faster
CHINESE rural residents outpaced urban dwellers in their per capita income growth, the National Bureau of Statistics said yesterday.
The annual per capita disposable income of China's urban residents was 19,109 yuan (US$2,900) in 2010, up 11.3 percent year on year, or a rise of 7.8 percent in real terms after deducting price factors.
The per capital net income for rural residents reached 5,919 yuan in 2010, up 14.9 percent annually, or an increase of 10.9 percent in real terms after deducting price factors.
