SOEs' profits jump
NET profits of China's centrally-administered state-owned enterprises rose 40.2 percent on an annual basis to 849 billion yuan (US$128.95 billion) last year, the State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission said yesterday.
Revenue at the companies increased 32.1 percent year on year to 16.7 trillion yuan, the commission said in a statement.
China's 122 centrally-administered SOEs paid taxes of 1.41 trillion yuan in 2010, an increase of 27.7 percent year on year, according to the statement.
