Shanghai's GDP grows 7.2% in H1

Shanghai's gross domestic product expanded 7.2 percent from a year earlier in the first half, compared with the increase of 7 percent in the first three months, the Shanghai Statistics Bureau said today.
It was weaker than the nation's average rise of 7.8 percent in the January-June period, and among the slowest performers of provinces and municipalities on the mainland.
